I chose Michigan State because I wanted to be involved in scientific research immediately. The faculty here really welcomes and encourages collaboration with undergraduate researchers.

Transportation

MSU study abroad in England.

First-year undergraduate students are not permitted to have vehicles on campus. Although several parking lots are available, on-campus parking is limited. Once students reach sophomore status, or if a freshman reaches 20 credits, then they are permitted to have a registered vehicle on campus.

Many students choose to walk, bicycle, or use the extensive campus bus system, which travels around campus and throughout the greater Lansing area. Four bus routes run on campus until 2 a.m. and the Night Owl service provides late night transportation after the buses stop.
