All students, whether residing on or off campus, must register their vehicle with the Department of Police and Public Safety’s parking division if they plan to operate it on campus. Although several parking lots are available, parking is limited. Visitors to campus may park at the short-term pay meters and in the gated hourly pay lots. One-day visitor parking permits may be purchased at the Trowbridge Road Welcome Center and from the MSU Police’s parking office located on Trowbridge Road.
First-year undergraduate students are not permitted to have vehicles on campus. When a student reaches sophomore status, or if a freshman reaches 20 credits, then a vehicle may be registered with the Department of Police and Public Safety’s parking division.
