Athletic Training

Athletic Training is a specialty in the sports medicine field, focused on improving the health and well-being of competitive and recreational athletes. The Michigan State University program, based in the Department of Kinesiology, will expose you to state-of-the-art philosophies, equipment and research while working with numerous athletic teams at MSU and in high schools. The program includes learning experiences that will prepare you to evaluate injuries, consult with physicians, make immediate decisions and communicate with coaches, student-athletes and clinical athletic training supervisors. More than 95 percent of our graduates pass the Athletic Board of Certification exam.
