Kinesiology is the study of physical activity and its impact on health, society and quality of life. Students learn about the anatomical, biomechanical, developmental, physiological and psychosocial aspects of physical activity and motion. All kinesiology majors must complete a senior internship that provides valuable field experience.
A kinesiology degree prepares students for a wide range of careers, such as fitness leadership, health and wellness, cardiac rehabilitation, adaptive physical activity and sports administration. The program also provides excellent preparation for graduate study in health professions, such as medicine, physical therapy and occupational therapy.
Graduates in kinesiology pursue careers in a range of industries, excelling in jobs that demand deep knowledge of anatomy, physical activity and biomechanics.
