Biomedical Laboratory Science

A professor in a lab coat and gloves shares information with a group of people interested in biomedical laboratory science.

The biomedical laboratory science major is designed to prepare students for careers in a variety of laboratory settings or to pursue graduate or advanced professional education. The clinical laboratory experience required for national certification as a laboratory professional is not included in this program.

Students desiring certification are responsible for securing accredited clinical experiences subsequent to completion of the degree requirements. The Biomedical Laboratory Diagnostics Program will assist students in seeking and gaining placements.

Students may also complete this major through Lyman Briggs College
