Before attending Michigan State University, all incoming first-year students must submit all final, official transcripts to MSU
All admitted first-year students must have their high school submit a final transcript that includes month, day and year of graduation. This must be sent to MSU as soon as possible and no later than July 31. This document is required to complete enrollment at Michigan State.
Your high school should upload your final, official high school transcript to MSU through online services or by U.S. mail.
If you completed or will complete any college course work prior to attending MSU, you must send final, official transcripts for that course work to MSU. This includes any dual enrollment or early/middle college credit received while in high school as well as any college-level classes that were in progress at the time of admission.
In order to be official, transcripts must be sent directly from the school or institution attended to MSU. Many schools do this through an online service such as the National Student Clearing House. You may need to contact the institution where you completed college coursework to have them send your final, official transcripts to MSU.
Michigan State University will perform a credit evaluation and accept certain credits from students who have completed college-level course work prior to attending MSU.

The credit evaluation will show how many of your college-level credits will transfer to Michigan State. It will first be made available to you when you attend New Student Orientation (NSO). After orientation, you can view your credit evaluation on your transcript through MSU's secure student information system.
Until then, students are encouraged to use transfercredit.msu.edu to identify courses that may transfer.
