Computational Mathematics (BS)

Computational Mathematics (BS)

The Bachelors of Science degree in computational mathematics provides students with a strong mathematical foundation in problem solving and mathematical proof. Senior level courses require the use of computer programming and its applications from a mathematical perspective. The highest math requirements focus more on computational mathematics as opposed to theoretical mathematics.

One of the career goals for this degree is to provide a foundation to prepare students for areas that require a significant amount of problem solving with computational models and tools such as the Information Technology field. The science portion of the degree requires science proficiency beyond that established by the college.
