Freshman merit scholarships

Timing

Students who apply for admission by November 1 of their senior year in high school will receive maximum scholarship consideration.

Scholarship notifications are mailed separately from admission packets between December and April.

Criteria

MSU will review your weighted (if available) GPA for ninth through 11th grades. Should you choose to submit a test score, only your best ACT or SAT test score will be used. MSU does not superscore tests. Students who choose to apply without a test score will be eligible for scholarships based on high school performance and a holistic review of their application material. See the test-optional policy for more information.

Your essay and other information from your application may also be used in the selection process.
