Lyman Briggs

Lyman Briggs

Lyman Briggs College (LBC) is an undergraduate, residential college dedicated to bridging the gap between science and the humanities. With over 40 majors in the natural sciences and mathematics to choose from, our students gain a strong foundation in core science courses (biology, chemistry, mathematics, and physics), while also exploring the history, philosophy, and sociology of science. LBC curriculum challenges students to examine the relationship between science and society and to consider their impact as scientists in the global world.

Interested students should apply directly to Michigan State University and indicate “Lyman Briggs College” as their preferred major. Lyman Briggs is a limited enrollment program and we encourage all students to apply early for admission.
