All admitted first-year international students must have their high school submit a final transcript that includes month, day and year of graduation. This must be sent to MSU as soon as it is available from your school or examination body and no later than mid-July. It is required to complete enrollment. Students with questions or concerns should contact their admissions counselor.
Official academic records must be mailed in an official, sealed school envelope directly to the address below or, in some cases, provided electronically, certified, from your school. Transcripts not issued in English must be provided in the original language, along with an official English translation.

Michigan State University will perform a credit evaluation and accept certain credits from international students who have completed college-level course work prior to attending MSU.
This includes:
The credit evaluation will show how many of your college-level credits will transfer to MSU. It will first be made available to you when you attend New Student Orientation (NSO). After orientation, you can view your credit evaluation on your transcript through MSU's secure student information system.
Until then, international students are encouraged to use the transfer.msu.edu to identify courses that may transfer.
